LAND3 Studio was selected as the Landscape Architect for the new Kansas City International Airport New Terminal project. Working directly for the architect Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), LAND3 designed exterior spaces including entry and exit drive sequences, pedestrian gardens, and visitor circulation routes from parking to the terminal.

First impressions of a city are made when visitors drive away from the terminal. Landscape spaces will reflect the historic and local landscape vernacular of the Kansas City region. LAND3 developed final schematics and construction documents as part of their scope of work.
